The study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and mental health with social compatibility of students from the Islamic Azad University- Kermanshah province. The research method was descriptive - correlation. The statistical population consisted of the total number of students from the Islamic Azad University- Kermanshah branch (150 persons) with limited attention to statistical population, 90 athletes were selected as the statistical samples according to the census method. To collect data from emotional intelligence inventories (1998), Gladberk and Hillier's public health questionnaire (1979) and a social compliance questionnaire of Crown Crown and Marlow (2000) were used. To analyze the findings, descriptive statistics (standard, mean and standard deviation) and at the level of inferential statistics such as smirnov test, pearson correlation test, regression test and SPSS version 21 were used. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between emotional intelligence and its dimensions with the social compatibility of students from the Islamic Azad University (P0 / 05). There is also significant and inverse relationship between mental health and its dimensions with the social compatibility of the students (p / 05). In order to predict social compatibility of athlete students through emotional intelligence and mental health, the regression coefficient was used, which is the multiple regression coefficient between emotional and psychological intelligence with the social compatibility of the athlete students (327 = 0). This represents the fact that emotional intelligence and mental health have been able to predict around 327 per cent of the variance of social compliance changes. The determination of the influence of mental intelligence variables and mental health as a predictor variable and social compatibility was analyzed as a criterion variable in the regression equation (001 / 0 p <, 56 / 59 F =). According to the results of this research, participation in sports activities is an effective way to reduce anxiety and depression, and to regulate emotions and promote social harmony. Thus, emotional intelligence provides mental well- being with mental well- being, improving interpersonal relationships and social harmony, helping students to be more successful in the different contexts of life.
