The present study was designed and conducted with the aim of the role of tourism in the development of peaceful relations based on the interpretive structural model (ISM). The present study is an applied research that was conducted in the field. The method of the present study was mixed in terms of data collection method, which was implemented qualitatively and quantitatively. The statistical population in the qualitative sector includes elites and experts in the field of tourism and sports. The sampling method in the qualitative part was purposeful. Also in the quantitative part of the statistical community, in addition to these people, some managers and experts of organizations in charge of tourism and sports and people aware of sports tourism, including the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, the Ministry of Sports and Youth and There were also some university professors in the field of tourism. The research tools included semi-structured interviews and a researcher-made questionnaire. Interpretive structural modeling and structural equations were used to analyze the data of the present study. The whole process of data analysis was performed in SPSS and PLS software. The results of the qualitative research showed that 28 factors identified were categorized into 6 factors including altruistic culture, adequate security and safety, managerial procedures, human aspects, international contexts and joint activities. The results also showed that adequate security and safety as an underlying factor in the research model itself leads to the formation of other factors.
