The occasional occurrence of anti-national and divergent behaviors, especially among young people in the public areas and places such as stadiums, makes it necessary to understand how and why such social and political actions take place in order to resolve the disturbances in the path of ethnic integration in the country. In societies like Iran, where different ethnic groups live together, ethnicity and its related issues are among the issues that affect the socio-political activities of citizens in different ways and especially can lead to national and inter-ethnic convergence or divergence. In this framework, our main problem is to investigate the ethnic factors that affect inter-ethnic or national diversity, and the main question is which intra-ethnic factors increase and strengthen the divergent and anti-national behaviors of the youth of different ethnicities?
To investigate the issue, quantitative survey method and a questionnaire were used in Ahvaz city. Research findings showed that exclusive in-group identity, insecure identity orientation, inter-ethnic identity distance, institutional inequality and relative power of in-group are effective on diversity and divergent behaviors regarding national identity

In a democracy, as a desirable model for political order, political culture with a focus on political participation is of an identifying role. One of the most important factors shaping and constructing the political culture is the accepting institutions of society. This study tries to investigate the role of socially accepting institutions in the political culture of Iranian youth by studying the students of Shahid Chamran University in Ahvaz. In this regard, the main question of the research is: what kind of the political culture teachings would be transmitted to the youth by the institutions of social acceptance in Iran (“Parochial”, “subordinate” or “participatory”)? The hypothesis of the article is that socializing institutions in Iran are more concerned with transmitting the teachings of “subordinate” political culture. This study has tried to answer the main question and test the article hypothesis by using the survey method and questionnaire tools. In this regard, a researcher-made questionnaire was distributed among a group of students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and the data were analyzed by using SPSS software. The findings showed that “families”, “peer groups” and “universities” transmit the teachings of “subordinate” political culture and “mass media” and “religious institutions” more than other institutions teach the teachings of “participatory” political culture, although their main tendency is still to strengthen the “subordinate” political culture.
