The main goal of the current research was to investigate the effects of globalization in the development of different aspects of Iranian sports. The method of this research is descriptive-survey. The research tool is a researcher-made questionnaire that was used after validating it (alpha = 0.952). The statistical population of this research was made up of faculty members, doctoral students in sports management, and experts who had a research background on globalization. Targeted and snowball face sampling was done and the statistical sample size of the research was equal to 105 people. Mean, standard deviation and TOPSIS test were used to investigate the effects of globalization on sports. The results of the research showed that the expansion of sports marketing and the attraction of international sports sponsors, the improvement of experience, science and the level of technical skills of athletes, coaches and judges of the country, the development of social communication, the promotion of experience, science and the level of technical skills of athletes and coaches and judges of the country, the development of international understanding and respect for other cultures and the modification of the energy consumption pattern and the expansion of the culture of using renewable and clean energies have an impact on the globalization of sports. The process of globalization in the sports sector is the wisest method for the interests of the country. Therefore, specialists and agents in this field in the country should take solid steps to develop sports by identifying opportunities.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of sport on the process of globalization. The research tool was a researcher made questionnaire which after confirming face and content validity (KMO=0/908) and reliability (α : 0/93) was used. The statistical society was sport management professionals and academics. Research subjects were purposefully selected. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to assess the normality of the data distribution. The statistical significance test was used to assess the importance of statistical significance test items and to prioritize the effects of development of sport on four dimensions of globalization. The results showed that the most important development effects of sport is on the economic, social, political and cultural dimension of globalization which include "increasing (direct and indirect) foreign investments", "development of tourism industry", "extension of diplomacy and cooperation with other countries" and "expanding the use of the International language" respectively. Globalization is an inevitable and semi dimensional fact. Managing of this phenomenon is essential in order to enhance the positive effects and avoid the negative ones. In this regard, recognizing the effects can be admitted for effective planning and development.
