This article is derived from a research that aimed at determining the amount of time management skill among youth and adolescents. The research method is survey and the measurement tool is researcher-made questionnaire of time management. The statistical population includes Tehrani adolescents (12-18 years old) and youth (19-30 years old) in 22 districts of Tehran. Hence 856 respondents (436 adolescents and 420 young adults of which 427 were boys and 429 were girls) were selected by three-staged cluster sampling. The results have been compiled in two sections: descriptive and inferential. In the descriptive section, indexes of descriptive statistics and in the inferential section, independent T tests have been analyzed for gender and age, and variance analysis test has been used for determining the difference between the variables of age, education and socio-economic class by SPSS. The results show that most of young adults and a few numbers of adolescents use time management skills. There is not a significant difference in terms of gender in targeting index for time management skill but there is a significant difference in terms of gender in prioritizing and programming indexes. Also there is a significant difference in terms of age and education regarding time management skill. There is not any significant difference in terms of socio-economic class regarding time management skill. Also girls are more successful than boys regarding time management.
