The purpose of this study was to present a performance management model of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The statistical population of the present study included some former and current managers of the National Olympic Committee as well as professors of sports management specializing in performance evaluation, which was done by purposive sampling to achieve theoretical saturation and finally 11 people were selected as the sample (4 managers and 7 university professors). They also responded to a multi-criteria decision-making questionnaire to prioritize codes. The instruments used in this study included a semi-structured interview and a multi-criteria decision questionnaire containing 101 items. In order to study and analyze the research data, the grounded theory method was used using the Glaser model and then Shannon entropy method was used to process the data and prioritize them. Based on the research findings, 7 general components were identified as key areas of performance management of the National Olympic Committee, which in terms of importance, including client, organizational issues, education, international domain, social performance, financial performance and environmental performance, respectively. It is suggested that the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while paying attention to the seven identified categories, pay attention to the issue of service delivery and follow-up of client problems by forming a service desk (face-to-face) and a request tracking system (electronic).
