The purpose of this research was to compile the external model of championship sports in Khuzestan province based on structural-interpretive modeling. This research was based on the purpose of developmental-applied type and in terms of method it was exploratory. The method of conducting this research was qualitative. The society included scientific elites (university professors) and experimental elites (sports managers at the level of trustee offices). The statistical sample in the qualitative section was a targeted sampling of desirable cases, which was interviewed with 13 experts. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. Acceptability, transferability and verifiability were used to determine reliability and the coefficient (86.20%) was obtained and the reliability of the interview was confirmed. Micmac software was also used to draw the structural-interpretive model. After analyzing the interviews, 26 indicators were obtained in the form of 4 concepts in the field of threats and 20 indicators in the form of 4 concepts in the field of opportunities. The result of interpretive-structural modeling showed that the highest level of influence was related to the component of management problems and the highest level of influence was related to the advertising opportunity. Considering the high impact of management problems outside the sports system, the need for coordination between different institutions and the importance of dealing with sports in non-sports organizations is felt.
