This Descriptive-correlational study aimed to provide a model to predict organizational performance based on unlearning and by considering the mediating role of intellectual capital and innovative behavior. The study population consisted of all employees of Sports and Youth Departments of Iran, among whom 384 individuals were selected as the sample using cluster sampling. The data were collected using paper and electronic questionnaires and analyzed in AMOS using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method. The reliability of the Unlearning Questionnaire (Navarro and Polo, 2008), Intellectual Capital Questionnaire of Bontis (1998), Bruce and Scott’s (1994) Innovative Behavior Scale, and Organizational Performance Questionnaire (Winand et al., 2014) was confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.83, 0.96, 0.94, and 0.97, respectively. The proposed model fitted the data well; thus, the path coefficients were all significant. Unlearning had significant positive effects on organizational performance through intellectual capital and innovative behavior. In addition, unlearning had the largest impact (0.96%) on intellectual capital than on other research variables. Therefore, managers of Sports and Youth Departments of Iran are recommended to adopt unlearning strategies in the workplace to replace employees’ old knowledge with new knowledge, and thereby increase intellectual capital and promote innovative behavior and ideas in the desired organizations. This will help organizations to improve their performance in today’s ever-changing environment.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the factors affecting the socialization of disabled athletes through sports. In order to present the model, the theme analysis approach was used and the corresponding model was confirmed through exploratory factor analysis. In this research, a total of 20 interviews were conducted until theoretical saturation was reached. Then, the researcher-made questionnaire resulting from the qualitative phase was completed by 294 samples of disabled athletes. The findings showed eight factors: raising awareness and creating culture using the media, believing in the necessity of exercise and the impossibility of replacing it, creating a platform and the opportunity to access sports facilities by providing infrastructure, equipment and sports facilities in a fair manner, psychological and social empowerment, and improving health and style. Life can be improved by creating motivational platforms, supporting institutions and political support and executive bodies for the disabled, the supportive role of coaches and teachers and family in encouraging sports, the need for financial and economic support, overcoming the challenges of disability to enter the sports and competition arena. The socialization of disabled athletes through sports should be effective. According to these eight investigated factors effective in the socialization process of disabled athletes, it can be concluded that the socialization of disabled people through sports requires attention and efforts to create favorable conditions.
