The current research was conducted with the aim of identification the challenges and strategies for the optimal presence of women in championship sports.The current research is based on the foundation's data theory with the Strauss-Corbin approach, and the participants include various actors in the field of women's championship sports, including professors and researchers, managers and officials of the National Olympic Committee and federations, coaches, athletes, team owners and there were women's clubs. The method of selecting the participants was purposive sampling and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 of them until theoretical saturation was reached. The findings indicate that 18 subcategories are classified in the form of five main categories such that causal factors include financial and administrative obstacles, rules governing women's sports and the lack of development of female coaches, background factors. This includes family gender values, gender inequality and space and facilities limitations, intervening factors, jurisprudential problem creation and passive reaction in facing inequality, inclusive strategies, commercialization of women's championship sports, talent management, modeling, All-round support for women's championship sports, constructive interaction, gender socialization, legislation in women's championship sports and the consequences also include qualitative and quantitative development of women's championship sports inside and outside the country. The proposed model can be used as an analytical tool for the basis of planning, decision-making and action in the field of Iranian women's championship sports in order to overcome the challenges in the field of women's optimal participation in championship sports by using various strategies.
