One of the important and noteworthy issues in family relations among young couples is the presence of tension and conflict. This research examines the status of marital disputes among young couples and the factors influencing their formation within families. The present study was conducted quantitatively using a survey method. A researcher-made questionnaire tool was used to collect data. Considering that this research was about couples with disputes, the number of 60 couples (120 people) who referred to the Welfare Department of Najaf Abad city in the first half of 1400 were studied in full. Data analysis was done using SPSS and AMOS software, and descriptive data were presented in the form of descriptive tables and correlation matrix, and inferential data were presented using structural equation model. To answer the research question, firstly, the concept of conflicts was examined in the form of four psychological, physical, sexual and financial dimensions, and according to different theories in the field of social sciences, factors such as patriarchy, individualism, traditional and modern values, and lack of skills Conflict resolution was determined as an independent variable. The results of the research showed that among the four dimensions of marital conflicts, the greatest impact was due to the dimension of psychological conflicts, and in the field of independent variables, the greatest impact was related to individualism and also the difference in cultural values of couples. Some specific dimensions (such as psychological conflicts) can greatly reduce the effectiveness of some other dimensions - such as the sexual dimension. It was also revealed that the lack of conflict resolution skills plays an important role in the occurrence of these conflicts. At the same time, with the change of cultural conditions, a kind of change is created, and these changes, along with the weakness of interpersonal communication and economic and social problems, cause the level of conflicts in the family to increase and become a crisis and a threat to the family foundation.

Marriage's values and attitudes in Iran are significantly changing. Understanding and explaining of these changes requires taking into account the role of cultural forces in combination with or in opposition to structural forces. The article is to examine the effects of cultural factors on the attitude toward marriage and family. Data was collected using cross-sectional survey and multi-stage sampling among young people in Tehran city. The findings showed that about one-fifth of respondents have a modern orientation toward marriage and family formation. The findings also indicated that socio-cultural changes have led to changes in the values and norms of marriage and family formation. Multivariate analysis revealed that with increasing in individualism, gender egalitarian, secularism, and exposure to transnational media (satellite and Internet), the traditional attitude toward marriage decreased and, on the other hand, modern attitude to marriage increased. Thus, considering the changes in the cultural components of society, modern values and new forms of marriage and family formation are expected to increase in Iran.
