The results of structural equation modeling showed that the researcher-made questionnaire used in this study had convergent and divergent validity and its reliability according to the numbers obtained for Cronbach's alpha and also the combined reliability was acceptable and above 0.7. Also, the results of hypothesis testing showed that all factor loads of indicators are above 0.4 and the factor load of indicators is desirable. Based on the results obtained from the analysis of the research model, it was found that the executive factors of green management have a positive and significant effect on the executive actions of green management. Also, the positive and significant effect of green management executive measures on green management results was confirmed. This Descriptive-correlational study aimed to provide a model to predict organizational performance based on unlearning and by considering the mediating role of intellectual capital and innovative behavior. The study population consisted of all employees of Sports and Youth Departments of Iran, among whom 384 individuals were selected as the sample using cluster sampling. The data were collected using paper and electronic questionnaires and analyzed in AMOS using the structural equation modeling (SEM) method. The reliability of the Unlearning Questionnaire (Navarro and Polo, 2008), Intellectual Capital Questionnaire of Bontis (1998), Bruce and Scott’s (1994) Innovative Behavior Scale, and Organizational Performance Questionnaire (Winand et al., 2014) was confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.83, 0.96, 0.94, and 0.97, respectively. The proposed model fitted the data well; thus, the path coefficients were all significant. Unlearning had significant positive effects on organizational performance through intellectual capital and innovative behavior. In addition, unlearning had the largest impact (0.96%) on intellectual capital than on other research variables. Therefore, managers of Sports and Youth Departments of Iran are recommended to adopt unlearning strategies in the workplace to replace employees’ old knowledge with new knowledge, and thereby increase intellectual capital and promote innovative behavior and ideas in the desired organizations. This will help organizations to improve their performance in today’s ever-changing environment.
