Abstract

The purpose of this study was to present an interpretive-structural model of the indicators of progress and inhibition of table tennis in Iran. The present study was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative research with analytical nature, which was conducted by the interpretive structural method. Research data were collected using the Delphi questionnaire, interviews, and documentary studies. The statistical population of the study included all experts, experts, and table tennis experts in the field of management in this sport, of which 21 people were purposefully selected as a sample. An interpretive structural model (ISM) was used to analyze the data. Finally, with the collective agreement of the experts, 28 indicators in the subset of nine dimensions were identified in the inhibitory factors, and 20 indicators in the subset of the six factors were identified in the subset of six dimensions, which were placed in four levels according to the model; In the field of deterrents; At the lower and fourth levels were the three components of program, strategy, and meritocracy. At the third level of the interpretive structural model were the two components of economics and education. In the second level of the interpretive structural model, there are two components of expertise and technology, and finally in the first level, which is the least important, the components of justice and perseverance were located.
