Abstract

The objective of this research is to propose a model for strategic value co-creation management in professional sports, based on the Three-Pronged Model. A qualitative method was employed to identify, consolidate, and structure the dimensions of this model. Participants were selected using a purposive sampling strategy, guided by the principle of theoretical saturation. Data collection concluded after conducting 13 semi-structured interviews with key informants. Prior to each interview, the time and location were coordinated with the participants. The interview protocol was designed according to the core research problem and the Three-Pronged Model, encompassing structural, behavioral, and contextual dimensions. Data analysis was performed using the thematic analysis approach as outlined by Creswell and Clark (2017). The analysis of the interview transcripts led to the identification of 99 basic themes. These were subsequently organized into 26 organizing themes. Finally, these organizing themes were classified into the three overarching dimensions of the Three-Pronged Model: structural, behavioral, and contextual.
