Abstract

This research has been done in order to identify the factors affecting the level of awareness of citizenship rights. The statistical population of the research is the students of Zanjan University, and the sample size was determined as 327 by referring to Morgan's table. The research is descriptive and analytical which was conducted by survey method and using questionnaire tool. The basis of awareness of citizenship rights is the level of people's knowledge of civil, political, social, cultural and gender rights, which was obtained by 21 questions. The construct validity of the questionnaire was tested by the factor analysis technique and the reliability of the instrument was tested in two preliminary and final examinations, and the obtained results indicate the appropriateness of its validity and reliability. The sampling method is stratified according to the volume and the respondents were selected by simple random method. Analysis of research data was done by Pearson correlation tests, multiple regression, F test and Kendall's W ranks, which were implemented by spss software. The findings of the research showed that the level of awareness of the respondents about citizenship rights in all components is more than the average value. Also, all the independent variables of the research, the use of mass communication means (0.291), presence in the public arena (0.33), socio-economic base (2.59F) and the type of attitude towards the category of citizenship (0.68) have a significant relationship with the level of awareness of citizenship rights.
