Main policies of most countries in decreasing demands to drug abuse consist of: Increasing awareness of community about risks and costs of drug abuse or consumption, life skills training, educating and substitution of adaptive behaviors in satisfying psycho-social needs, preparing counseling interventions while confronting life crisis, considering cultural and religious factors and principles, strengthening counter drugs’ laws and regulations, suggesting strategies to treatment and prevention of drug abuse. The strategies mostly focused on individual-oriented, training-oriented, school/teacher based, mass media, job environment, laws regulation and applying preliminary health care networks programs.

It seems that considering quad dimension of human’s health along with satisfying social, economic and cultural issues in Iran, could act as an appropriate path map to prevent and reducing drug consumption.
